Move Colorado Membership Campaign Exceeds Goals - Gains Momentum

DENVER, CO - September 8, 2006

Today, Move Colorado announced that the membership goals for mobilization of the new organization were reached much earlier than anticipated. Bruce Prommersberger, Secretary, and Ken Rudolph, Treasurer, reported to the Board of Directors that the first year membership goals were reached 6-months early: "We continue to pick up momentum as more organizations and companies learn about us. As we present our program to organizations concerned about Colorado's economic future, we pick up members and volunteers. Our political and business leaders recognize the problem and are ready to go to work on a financing solution."

Paul Schauer, Managing Director, has joined the Board of Directors representing CRMCA/CRPA - the Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association and Colorado Rock Products Association. In addition to private companies, Move Colorado is expanding with new member organizations, particularly economic development, business, and political action organizations with a critical stake in the transportation funding issue - 24 members and growing. New organizations include the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the DIA Partnership, the Colorado Municipal League (CML), Action 22, the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA), the I-70 Mountain Corridor Coalition, and Front Range Commuter Rail. The initial membership campaign will continue through fall as organizations complete their summer meetings, address issues on the November ballot, and prepare for new leadership after the election.
