Just dropping a note to show my support for the proposed RTA Lodging Tax amendment. It’s important for expanding local transportation infrastructure across Colorado and ensuring we have sustaining funding.
The current restrictions on lodging tax collections make it tough for Regional Transportation Authorities (RTAs) to get the money they need, especially in destination resorts where lodging taxes are already maxed out. By tweaking these rules, we can help RTAs use existing funds more effectively and keep our transportation projects on track.
Hope you’ll consider backing this amendment – it’s an important change to help ensure better transportation and quality of life for all of us.
